Sharing is one of the more difficult, yet absolutely critical, concepts we are taught as children. We learn at a very young age that sharing our toys, our snacks and our friends makes for a better world for everyone. We do a lot of sharing here at St. Louis Children's Hospital, and it's all because of our simple yet profound mission: We do what's right for kids.
Our mission is why we share our expertise to provide the highest quality healthcare for families, regardless of their ability to pay for it.
Our mission is why our generous donors and volunteers share their time and resources.
It's why 18-year-old Cole Imbs, a former patient whose story you'll read, shares his experiences and time, educating other kids about the work that St. Louis Children's Hospital does and the difference they can make.
Our mission is why all the patients and donors we're featuring in this 2012 annual report have agreed to share their stories, their connections to the hospital. They believe in us and in our mission, so they share what they can to ensure that our work goes on every day.
We're proud to present the results of 2012 to you in this new digital format. We hope you'll be moved to share the stories and information in it with your friends and family. We're also excited about the future and looking forward to all the new opportunities we have to share our research, our quality care, and all of the things that make us St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Our sincere thanks to our physicians and staff, donors, volunteers and supporters, who share what they have every day to make sure we can do what's right for kids.
